Prosciutto wrapped aspargus

It’s time for grilling, and this prosciutto wrapped asparagus couldn’t be any easier to make.  I love how the prosciutto gets a little crispy and slightly charred.  I made these for my sister’s birthday party.  She’s on a gluten free, dairy free, practically everything free diet.  I usually add a little garlic-cream cheese to these and bake them in the oven, but these are a lot quicker to prepare.

Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus

  • Asparagus
  • Prosciutto, thin sliced (I like San Daniel or Di Parma…your choice)
  • Freshly cracked pepper
  • Truffle oil (optional)

Snap off the tough stem ends of the asparagus.  Wrap the asparagus with prosciutto in either bundles of skinny asparagus or  individual thicker asparagus.  Grill until crisp tender and slightly charred.  Add a little freshly cracked pepper on top.  Gussy it up with a drizzle of truffle oil, or not.  That’s it!
